Spring 1952 School Magazine

Series III - Number 11

JRGS Alumni Society

Here is a scanned copy of the Spring 1952 edition of JRGS School Magazine, kindly supplied by Mike Marsh and imaged by Paul Graham. Each of the images are offered as individual JPEG files.

Paul Graham writes: The latest magazine brings us to the Elizabethan Era, but oddly not a mention of the departed
King, just two oblique references to the new Queen. Mr. "Rhino" Rees takes on the mantle of Senior Latin Master, and what appears to be the last female teacher, Miss Hickmott (French. etc.), leaves the school. There are some interesting figures on page 23 relating to National Savings contributions, presumably by pupils. Also an announcement on page 4 by the headmaster of the go-ahead for the new school building in Shirley.
