Porlock Shellfish Project's trial oyster site - June 2014
As Roger Hall (JRGS 1959-66) writes:
"Currently, I'm involved with a community venture to set up what will be
England’s first community-owned shellfish farm. We are just nearing the
end of our 'food health and safety' testing of the mussels and oysters.
We are in the process of setting up a community interest company and,
concentrating on the oysters, plan to start business in early summer.
"This is a picture of us inspecting and maintaining the trial
oyster site. I'm the one on the right in the daft, Japanese
soldier-style hat!"
