The following are elements of a four-part scan imaged by John Costello (JRGS 1951-56) of the JRGS School Photograph taken in September 1952 at the Tamworth Road location. Click in each section to automatically download a high-resolution JPEG file.

John Costello writes: Since I attended JRGS from 1951 to 1956, I was therefore on both the Tamworth Road and the Shirley sites. I enjoyed my time [at JRGS] academically but, although never in much trouble with them myself, I was overawed by a few of the staff. Some were far too violent, verbally abusive and intimidating. I should have stayed in the Sixth Form and gone to University, but I was only too glad to leave and enter the adult world of work. I eventually got a BA in 1986 and a BSc (Hons) in 1996, both with the Open University. >>more from JC
